Oh, the Places We’ll Go!

Over the summer, participants from all Unity House programs were encouraged to complete a stamp book-style passport as they visited locations in Cayuga and Tompkins Counties. Folks were encouraged to get out and about with their staff members, fellow housemates and family members to enjoy the sunshine and discover new landmarks. Staff compiled photo submissions as entries to tally participants’ points across the season, with the challenge wrapping up at the end of September. This year’s landmarks included nature trails, eateries, libraries, parks, museums and more.

“After last year’s redesign, Unity House’s Passport to Travel scavenger hunt had its second year of fantastic organization-wide participation,” say Assistant Director of Day Services James Beaumont. “Thank you to our DSPs for all of your hard work organizing day trips, tallying scores and making sure the people we support had a fantastic summer.”
