Unity House hosts ribbon-cutting at renovated home in Ithaca

Unity House is grateful to all who joined us on August 12 for the ribbon-cutting at our newly renovated group home at 507 W. Green Street in Ithaca. For almost two years, 12 residents have been living in a state-owned home on Abbott Road while their residence underwent a transformative $642,000 renovation. Now, by the end of September, they’ll finally be coming home.

The new space is safer, more accessible and thoughtfully designed to promote greater independence, comfort and ease in everyday life. From a new wheelchair entrance ramp and accessible bathrooms, to expanded living areas and more functional kitchens, every improvement reflects Unity House’s commitment to creating comfortable, accessible homes where people with disabilities can thrive.
Unity House extends a special thank-you to Senator Lea Webb and her staff for joining us at the ribbon-cutting and for supporting our mission to empower people with disabilities throughout Central New York.
