Beardsley Golf Tournament raises funds for Unity House

Beardsley Architects + Engineers recently held their 19th annual charity golf tournament at Highland Park Golf Course in Auburn.

This year’s beneficiary for the event was Unity House.

13 foursomes competed against one another on 18 holes, followed by dinner and an awards ceremony. The winning team was 12 under par and consisted of Chris Shrimpton, Nick Shrimpton, Josh Swoleman, and Eric Hlywa.

Unity House would like to thank everyone who attended and sponsored this event, as $10,962 was raised this year to help them empower people with disabilities. Unity House provides transitional and permanent housing, respite care, and rehabilitative and employment services for individuals with mental illnesses, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders from which they are recovering. A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1977, Unity House partners with these individuals to develop their personal skills and potential, supporting them to live fuller and more independent lives. Unity House’s headquarters are located in Auburn, New York.
