Unity House is the grateful recipient of funding from:
Assemblymember Anna Kelles – $135,500
To improve five IRAs (group homes) in Tompkins County. The project will enhance accessibility within the homes and protect their structures, providing residents with greater autonomy, mobility and dignity.
Columbian Foundation – $10,000
French/Metcalf Foundations – $5,000
Polisseni Foundation – $3,125
To assist Unity Employment Services in buying a quality used car or van. This vehicle will provide safe, reliable transportation for 12+ program participants so they may obtain and maintain competitive employment in Cayuga County.
Triad Foundation – $7,500
For general operating expenses and staff appreciation initiatives.
J.M. McDonald Foundation – $3,000
This grant will fund the purchase of a commercial-grade food processor and an outdoor dining set for the residents of our group home in Union Springs.
Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library – $540
To purchase new American Sign Language (ASL) materials for Ithaca Day Hab. ASL promotes greater communication and connections, especially for those who are non- or less-verbal, and can minimize the frustrations experienced by those individuals.
